The Cottesloe specific bit
Limestone has to breathe. Sealing it with a standard acrylic traps moisture behind the render and blows the face off the stone, which is expensive and slow to repair. Mineral-based and high-permeability systems exist for exactly this and we specify them here as a matter of course.
