The finish
Sprayed where brushing would show
Joinery, doors and built-ins are sprayed rather than brushed, because at close range a brush mark is the thing you cannot stop looking at. It costs a day of masking to get there.
Plastic to the openings, tape to the edges, extraction running, and every surface that is not being coated sealed off before the gun is picked up. The preparation is most of the work; the finish is the part you see.
Exteriors
Scaffold, harness, and the time it takes
Two-storey work is not ladder work. Proper access costs more up front and is the only way the eaves, gables and upper windows get the same preparation as everything you can reach.
Roof restoration
Priced by the roof, not the floor
A roof is considerably larger than the footprint it covers, which is why roof quotes surprise people. Tile and Colorbond need different systems and different preparation, and both need the surface clean and sound before a drop of coating goes near them.
Harness, anchor and rope on every pitch. It is not optional and it is in the price.

Painters in Perth — what people ask us first
The questions that come up before anyone books a quote, answered plainly.
- What areas of Perth do you cover?
- The whole Perth metropolitan area. We work most often across the northern corridor — Mirrabooka, Balga, Girrawheen, Marangaroo, Ballajura, Morley, Dianella and Wanneroo — and regularly through the western, southern and eastern suburbs. If you are a little further out it is still worth asking, especially for a full exterior or a multi-unit job.
- How much do painters cost in Perth?
- Painting is priced on labour, and labour is priced on preparation, so the honest answer depends on condition rather than square metres. A full interior repaint of an unfurnished four-by-two in sound condition typically runs mid four figures to low five figures. A single-storey rendered exterior generally sits in the five-figure range once preparation, access and two coats are allowed for. We put a fixed price in writing after a free on-site measure.
- Are you licensed and insured?
- Yes. We carry public liability insurance and workers' compensation cover, and we will send certificates of currency before starting work — for domestic jobs as readily as for strata and commercial. Any painter who hesitates when asked for those is telling you something useful.
- Do you give free quotes?
- Yes, and the on-site measure is free with no obligation. You get a written quote naming every surface, the preparation for each, the products by brand, the number of coats, the access method and what is excluded. A quote that fits on one line is a number, not a quote.
- How long does a painting job take?
- A single room is about a day. Three bedrooms and a hallway is around four working days. A full unfurnished four-by-two is roughly nine. A single-storey exterior is about six working days, and a two-storey closer to eleven — access accounts for most of that difference. Preparation is a third to a half of the time on any job, which is why visible progress lags the programme.
- What warranty do you offer?
- A written minimum five-year workmanship warranty on every residential job, running from practical completion. Where the coating system supports longer, the longer period is stated on your quote and applies instead. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, not instead of them.
- When are you open?
- We answer the phone Mon–Sat 7:00am–6:00pm, with Sunday by appointment. Quote requests and bookings can be sent at any hour and we reply within one business day. Commercial and strata work is programmed after hours or over weekends where trading demands it.

- Both, plus roof restoration, commercial and strata programmes, wallpapering, decorative and specialty finishes, timber and deck restoration, rendering and texture coatings, protective and floor coatings, and colour consultation.
