The job
What we did
The full-height void is the hard part of a house like this: the wall above the stair can only be reached off a properly set platform, and the cornice run has to be cut in from it without a break in the line. Everything was masked and sheeted, the walls filled and sanded back, and the stair, balustrade and joinery protected for the duration.
