The Guildford specific bit
Modern acrylics over lime mortar and hand-made brick cause more harm than good: they trap the moisture the wall was designed to release and push salts to the surface. Breathable mineral systems and limewash are the correct answer on this stock, and on a registered property the choice may not be ours to make. We work to what the approval allows.
