What the weather does here
Inland with river humidity. Mould in the shaded southern rooms of the older flats is a persistent problem, more so than any exterior weathering.
Worth knowing
The Maylands specific bit
The deco apartment stock has curved rendered parapets and steel-framed windows that were never designed to be easy to repaint. Steel frames in particular need rust treatment rather than a fresh topcoat, and cutting in cleanly against original steel glazing bars is slow work that has to be priced honestly rather than absorbed.
