What the weather does here
A few kilometres inland, so light salt at most. Mature tree cover keeps a lot of Duncraig shaded, which slows UV damage and speeds up mould and lichen on southern walls and roofs.

The Duncraig specific bit
Timber fascia and barge boards are the recurring problem in this stock. They were painted, not primed properly, and forty years of expansion has opened the joints. Replacing the worst lengths before painting costs less than repainting rotten timber twice, and we quote it as a separate line so the choice is visible.
